As promised in an earlier post, I'd make this event my Grand Finale... though I actually made it home a couple days ago. I needed to end on a positive note! The weather was awesome - a little warm in the sun though! Full of Nats and Phillies fans - maybe more Phillies than Nats, not sure. They are DEFINITELY more obnoxious though, no question. I felt like I was in elementary school being teased by a bunch of bullies. You'd think the fans of a team with the most losses of any professional sports team of all time would be a bit more humble. Not the case. The Nats got spanked, but it was still fun to be there! It was Robyn's first game too... so to go to the Nats Opener, see the secret service everywhere, HUGE lines, and to see the President throw out the first pitch - I'd say she was spoiled. Plus the seats rocked. :)
(Secret Service looking over the crowd outside the stadium)
(The line we waited in... whew!)
(Hollerrrrr!)
(Secret Service)
(Secret Service)
(Nats players ran between the flags upon introduction)
(Obama speaking with wounded veterans)
(I've seen better arms on a chair)
(she's so excited)
(see the ball?)
(sawed off his bat - which went further than the ball!)
