Today I hit several wineries on my way out of Walla Walla. I had NO idea how big of a wine town Walla Walla was until chatting with some locals at a local bar. I sat down to order some food and a drink and asked the bartender her name. She was pretty cute and really friendly. A big help with the whole town and winery situation. "Ashley, where the #$%! are the wineries around this place?" After chatting for a bit she told me they are all around and made some recommendations. Another fellow sitting next to me chimed in with his favorites as well. I jotted the info down in my iPhone so I wouldn't forget! I guess I was expecting cascading vineyards and breathtaking wineries - but not so. Wineries are sporadically located throughout the town and the vineyards are on the outskirts. I managed to find 4 of the over 100 wineries. I didn't have a ton of time, but the places I did visit were very nice and had some amazing wines. Walla Walla is primarily known for their red varietals, which suits me perfectly. Their wines are said to be of "premium" quality, thus a slightly higher price. I bought some of my favorites to bring back with me! Or drink before I get home?
About 6 hours later, I made it to Paul and Racheal's house! Brennen is even more adorable than in the pics I've seen! I haven't taken any pics yet, but will soon - definitely before I leave. I'll probably leave here Friday afternoon/evening and head toward San Fran via 101 (along the coast of Oregon and California). Will drive 4 or 5 hours and stay in one of the coastal towns I come across... I have some recommendations from Paul and Racheal. Saturday morning I intend on waking up and hitting Napa Valley, then pick up a friend at the San Fran airport that evening. We'll knock out San Fran that night and the next day before heading south to Monterey on our way to Los Angeles.

All caught up on your travels. Wow! The scenery is as I remember it. Your ride is wonderful and seems very comfortable. What are your plans next for your pictures? A coffee table book, perhaps? So glad the trip is going well. Bummer about Yellowstone. It gives you a reason to go back.
Stay well and enjoy the rest of your trip!
Hi Katie! Yep, I'll probably find which pics I like the best and have a book made through the program I use. They have some neat options. I hope all is going well with Molly and Andrew! I really miss you guys and think about y'all quite often!
